Suburban RV Hot Water service recall

Authorities are urging RV owners to check their hot water services, following the recall of Suburban RV Hot Water Services sold between April 2018 and September 2019.
Office of the Technical Regulator (SA) sanctioned the recall amid concerns that carbon monoxide could seep into the recreational vehicle if the unit operated on gas.

AFFECTED MODELS + THOSE THAT ARE CHECKED AND REPAIRED

According to the recall notice, the affected models are SW6DEA, SW6DA, SW4DEA, SW4DA, SW4DECA and SW6DECA with serial numbers between 181315552 and 193002648 (some serial numbers may end with a ‘D’), 8183311827 and 8190201139.
The units above bearing the label CTC001 next to the model/serial number have already been checked and repaired.
To find your hot water service’s model and serial number and subsequent repair label open the exterior access door and find them located on the right-hand side.

WHAT TO DO

If you find that your hot water service is affected by the recall immediately cease operating the product on gas.
