The Numurkah & District Historical Society

Dedicated to the preservation of the cultural and historical artefacts of the area, the Numurkah Heritage Centre has heaps of exhibits depicting what life was like in the early days, it’s also the perfect example of a community coming together as the centre is run by the volunteers of the Numurkah & District Historical Society.

The exhibits at the Numurkah Heritage Centre are all donated, many from the locals and they change frequently so there is always plenty to see. The centre also offers you a glimpse into the original cells of the Numurkah Police Station dating back to the early 1900s, and the old medical ward from the hospital dating back around the same time.
