Before you head off in the morning with a full day of travelling ahead of you, it’s a good idea to have a look around your van and just check that everything is tightened and secure, so you don’t have any problems later on.

When travelling off-road, nuts and bolts will come loose, so it is key that you check on for any loose nuts and bolts on your caravan and be sure to tighten them up.

Another helpful tip is to add a zip tie to any plugs or cables from your caravan to your vehicle – this will help keep them in place and prevent them falling out and dragging along for a couple of kilometres’.
