CIA VIC Applaud Positive Action by Well Established Member!
The Caravan Trade Industry Association of Victoria welcomes the ‘voluntary product safety recall’ notice regarding the ‘Control Rider TS Suspension System’ from the long-standing and well-established member G & S Chassis.
CIA VIC commend G & S Chassis for their obvious concern for their customer’s by initiating this voluntary recall on a small number of caravan chassis built by G & S Chassis with the Control Rider TS Suspension System manufactured between May 2015 and June 2016.
G & S Chassis is a family operated business which has been in operation for over forty years and during that time they have contributed greatly to the recreational vehicle industry and the general community. It is their uncompromising commitment to the quality of their product and customer safety, which guided them to commence the ‘voluntary recall’ in relation to the Control Rider TS Suspension System.
As per any manufacturing process at times products may well need to be recalled whilst they are checked to ensure product safety. G & S Chassis manufacture over 4500 chassis per year and it was through their extensive experience that it came to their notice that a small number of early chassis (less than 0.5% of chassis produced) have exhibited a trailing arm weld failure.
The Association has been advised of no instances of accident or injury relating to this product and support G & S Chassis with their swift proactive approach to addressing their concerns for this product. G&S Chassis are complying with their legal obligations to ensure customer safety and are conducting the voluntary recall in line with the ACCC guidelines.
