Water babies can expect a spoiling at G’day Tasman Holiday Parks – Rollingstone, 40 minutes north of Townsville.

Lifestyle Pioneer Simon Bailey seemed equally thrilled to unhook the van under the palms, having stayed at this pristine, modern park just a few years ago. “Beautiful pool … nice bar. This is going to be good fun. On the beach, too. Magic Spot.”

Meanwhile, Aimee from 4 Boys and a Caravan met with on-site manager Jodie Langham to learn what else was available for her active crew.

Plenty more, it turns out: a jumping pillow, playground, seasonal outdoor cinema showings, a half-size basketball and a BMX track–with actual dirt!

The lakes are stocked with Barramundi, offering fish feeding for the littlies and catch and release for the older ones. 

“You can also catch for dinner off the beach,” Jodie explains. 

Of course, if that doesn’t appeal, there are snacks available at the kiosk.

G’day Tasman Holiday Parks – Rollingstone has a fabulous vibe, hosting live performers Saturday nights. Just in time for freshly baked wood-fire oven pizzas and beverages available at the centrally-located CRO Cafe and Cocktail Bar. This bar is open every Saturday night throughout the year and on weeknights during the peak season. The pancake breakfasts are another high-season culinary highlight. Or there’s the Rollingstone Pub a short drive away, with courtesy bus services available. Be sure to call first. 

If you’re setting up camp, there are many options available at G’day Tasman Parks – Rollingstone. Powered beachfront sites–with or without ensuites, powered lakefront sites and grassed sites available with power, ensuites or off-the-grid close to the amenities. Long-time tourers can access the on-site dump point or store the van and tent off-road. There’s also a weigh pad on the Bruce Highway at Rollingstone. Seven cabin and villa styles accommodate up to eight in a choice of views for lux living.
