Powering the Gibb with Yamaha

Our convoy found plenty of reasons to fire up the Yamaha EF 2200is

While travelling the Gibb River Road, where temperatures climb and plummet within hours, sometimes days between access to mains power, the What’s Up Downunder and Red Centre crews saw first hand just how useful the Yamaha EF 2200is inverter generator could be.

Whether that was powering up precision satellite communication devices, reviving a flat starter battery via a charger or to simply toasting some bread.

Even where power was available, like at the stunning Ellenbrae Station, a reliable high capacity independent power source gave our convoy pick of the locations.

Here, Robyn Goudie had no trouble tapping into the luxury high-powered devices within her Ellenbrae Motorhome like this Induction Cooktop by connecting up the EF 2200is via 15A cord into the van.
