The detour you need to make when heading to Queensland

Most of us heading to Queensland can’t wait to head to the Gold Coast with the kids, or to explore the beautiful beaches up in Hamilton Island, but you’d be surprised on what the southern end of the state can offer you on your next trip up North!
With it’s thriving agriculture and home to Queensland’s cooler climate, you will be in abundance of local produce as you experience the country lifestyle. Not to mention it being one of the only areas in Queensland with a thriving wine industry, why not stop for a few tastings?
The region is absolutely caravan accessible with plenty of infrastructures available for caravaners and campers, with a beautiful drive and plenty of activities on the way, you may want to even add the beautiful sunflower fields or snow-like cotton fields for some magic on your drive through.
With events all year round, you might find yourself in the region for the award winning Toowomba Carnival of Flowers or the Jumpers and Jazz festival, there is always a perfect time to get away from the coast and experience country Queensland.
