Dashville Skyline 2018

Dashville Skyline is a name that seems to almost invoke a memory of something. It’s probably a play on words from the old Bob Dylan album ‘Nashville Skyline’ and that would be very apt given that Dashville Skyline is the name of a small music festival held every year at Belford in the Hunter Valley of NSW. This year’s event is from the 28th to the 30th of September and features The Waifs and C.W Stoneking.

Dashville Skyline is an event that features music genres from the 60’s through to today such as Americana, Alternative and Psychadelia. It has a great reputation for putting wonderful musicians and songwriters together to collaborate and perform, as well as providing a very ‘chilled’ atmosphere for a weekend of camping, music and fun.

Our intrepid reporters Clarke Kent and Lois Lane, aka Fireman Ron and Di Sinclair, will be attending Dashville Skyline to check out the vibe, the music, the camping and the event. This smaller type of music festival is a great opportunity for travellers, like Fireman Ron and Di, to get themselves to the venue, set up camp, relax and enjoy the music. Their post-Dashville plans include a full review in the October What’s Up Downunder digital magazine.

Based on reports from people who have attended Dashville Skyline in the past it is a really good weekend. Apart from the music and the atmosphere, there’s also great food, fun for the kids, classic cars and bikes and even the odd drink or two.
