Bite into a Bylong Creek Hashbrown

If there is one off-road brekky you need to try, it’s Macca’s ‘Bylong Creek Hashbrown’, packed with some sizzling bacon, crispy potato and delicious onion, this will definitely get your day started the right way!

Bylong Creek Hashbrown


-1 tablespoon butter
-150g bacon, diced
-1 small brown onion, diced
-1 to 2 medium size potatos, grated
-4 large eggs
– Handful of tasty cheese, grated
-Salt and pepper to taste


1. In a skillet or pan, melt butter and begin to brown onions
2. Add in diced bacon, salt and pepper to taste
3. Whilst still stirring, add in grated potato to fill the rest of the pan
4. Once potato is beginning to crisp, create four gaps in bottom of the pan and add eggs
5. Sprinkle cheese over the hashbrown
6. Cover with aluminium foil or lid for 2-3 minutes, allowing the eggs to cook
7. Serve straight out of skillet or on a plate if desired.
