Easing Pressure

THE CLEARVIEW TYRE SPIDER HAS YOUR BACK AS ALICIA EXPLAINS, ON LOCATION FOR THE OFFROAD ADVENTURE SHOW

WORDS MICHAEL “BORGY” BORG

Adjusting your tyre pressures is such a big part of outback touring. In fact, it’s actually quite a chore when you can consider how much time you spend inflating and deflating your rubber. What’s Up Downunder special guest Alicia Blythe put the Tyre Spider from Clearview Accessories to the test on assignment for the Offroad Adventure Show. Let’s see what she had to say!

Q. What attracted you to the Tyre Spider?

A. The fact that it is automated means you don’t have to stay leant down the whole time you are adjusting your pressures.

Q.What was your first impression of the product?

A. You can tell it’s good quality just by looking at it. All the connectors attach firmly yet easily. and the hoses are nice and long, so they reach your tyres with plenty of give.

Q.What was the best part about the system?

A. I love that you can hook up the Tyre Spider set your desired tyre pressure at the control panel and it will do the rest.

Q.Is there anything you would change?

A. I found each hose had to be rolled up really tightly to fit back into the bags, which takes time. So I’m planning to attach the hoses permanently into position, so l only have to clip a small connector hose into the tyre valve to get the job done.

ABOUT THE TYRE SPIDER

The Clearview Tyre Spider is multi- valve tyre inflator that can adjust the air pressures of four tyres on a single vehicle at the same time. It’s able to work with or without your vehicle’s own air compressor achieving four main functions including inflation, borrowing air from other tyres, deflation and equalisation across multiple tyres.
