Camp in Luxury winner announced! $50k+ prize pool – major winner reacts
When persistence pays, it pays out well. Just ask Sue Reid, first-place winner of the What’s Up Downunder Camp in Luxury competition.
Sue submitted a fresh entry daily, scoring herself and husband Ian a gorgeous Eagle Warrior 10 hybrid camper, Yamaha Generator, a myCOOLMAN fridge and 12 months CIL insurance.
“I’ve been checking everyday to see if there was a winner!” Sue explains on a live streamed phone call with Warren Parrot, What’s Up Downunder Executive Producer.

As a result of the call, the long-time travellers who were between vans can now spend their spare time adventuring rather than chasing pavement.
“We actually went and looked at hybrid vans at the Rocky show,” says Sue.
Their first adventures? Mission Beach.
“We worked up there for two years while we were travelling around Australia.”
Darren Beames, general manager for Eagle, and Nandani Singhal, Senior Sales and Digital Coordinator for Parable Productions, joined Warren on the live stream, where Warren thanked partners Everything Caravan and Camping for sharing the message.
Kui Parks also participated in the giveaway, offering 25 membership and voucher prize packs to our lucky runner-up winners.
Darren describes the Eagle Warrior 10 as the perfect camping extension.
“It’s for people who want the camper but [with] a little more comfort, you’ve got a hard roof, you’ve got a full ensuite, and you still got the benefits of the lightweight-ness of a camper.”
