ALPHA Suspensions releases ALPHA Extreme 2.0

Aussie innovators ALPHA Suspensions have released a brand new suspension: the ALPHA Extreme 2.0 with dampers designed to withstand sustained off-road impact.

The new suspension is fitted with Pedders Remote Reservoirs shockers equipped with an external reservoir that mitigates shock failure.

More Oil & Greater Separation

“Inside the reservoir, a floating piston separates the nitrogen from the oil, preventing aeration or shocker fade,” Ross Fiore, operations manager for ALPHA explains.

“Another advantage is the increased oil capacity that aids in cooling and increases service life of the oil and shocker longevity.”

Ross says the new stronger internal parts also improve shock response out on the tracks: “A larger internal piston and larger chrome shaft provide better performance and controlled stability.”

A Successful Setting

The ALPHA Extreme 2.0 builds upon the successful ALPHA Extreme towing platform that features minimal stub axle overhang for better stability, custom bump guards to absorb aggressive impact and right-angled towing geometry so that shock absorbers can work at full capacity.

What’s more, the ALPHA Extreme line-up suits caravans and camper trailers of all sizes, with solutions for single and dual axle setups comprising different braking options, airbags and airbag control modules and coil springs.

A Collaborative Mindset

Indeed, the newly-enhanced suspension points to ALPHA’s long history of collaborating with premium suppliers like Pedders, including locally-fabricated disc brake manufacturers and suppliers of Japanese bearings.

“We at Alpha are always looking at ways to improve the performance and durability of our suspensions hence supplying our customers with a reliable and tough product that they can trust to perform under the toughest of conditions,” says Ross.
