Riverland 27 million dollar boost announced at the 2023 Let’s Go Caravan, Camping & Outdoor Show in Adelaide

There’s no doubt that with the floods, SA’s Riverland is facing challenges. But the good news is this popular destination is well on the mend.

Sixteen of the region’s 22 caravan parks are open for business. And pumps are fast-tracking clean up in some of the region’s most adversely affected areas.

Now, more help on its way.

27+ million dollars supporting recovery

Indeed, at a VIP breakfast at the 2023 Let’s Go Caravan, Camping & Outdoor Show–Adelaide Minister for Tourism and Multicultural Affairs Zoe Bettison MP announced that the government is availing 27 million to fast-track recovery.

Caravan parks and businesses affected by the flooding are eligible for assistance. This is great news for the Riverland, which, prior to the flooding, was South Australia’s third most visited region.

Riverland is open

There are 22 caravan parks in the Riverland. Ten closed as a result of the flooding, four have reopened with the six remaining expected to reopen in the months ahead.

The funds will support Australia’s growing appetite for the South Australia regional precincts, which attract more than 50 per cent of the state’s local and interstate visitors.
