Immerse yourself in bush surrounds at the Barambah Bush Caravan and Camping Park
Bush walks, bike trails, a golf course and fishing… Not what you expect to find in a caravan park. But this is a remarkable exception. Barambah Bush Caravan and Camping Park, a member of Kui Parks near Murgon, Queensland, has the lot.
It is located in 200 acres, most of it natural bush, the rest beautifully manicured lawns, gardens and top grade facilities. The peace and quiet alone is wonderful, but there is plenty to do. As well as the aforementioned bush walking and bike riding on well marked trails, you can play a round of golf or fish in one of the dams.
Inviting Spaces
Every afternoon, we see an amazing gathering of birds, coming in for a feed from Peter, who is a wealth of information about each of his feathered friends. Scott, Peter and Maureen run the park in a very efficient and friendly way and it was great to spend time with them.
The amenities are not new but are very clean and have all you need. There is a small laundry camp kitchen combo that is very inviting. There are several gathering spots around the park, with barbecues and cooking areas for picnics, the highlight being a communal fire for happy hour, although you can have your own fire if you wish.
Nature’s Playground
Because there is plenty of space, you can easily enjoy the peace without close neighbours, except perhaps for the wildlife. The birds like to visit your site, the many flowers and shrubs attract the butterflies, and at night, at the campfire, you can watch the possums and, if you’re lucky, the local koalas.
A short drive will see you at Bjelke–Petersen Dam, several wineries and the towns of Murgon and Goomeri, which is famous for its mouthwatering bakery delights.
A World Away
Barambah Bush Caravan Park is a favourite getaway from people from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, not a long drive but a world away from any hustle and bustle.
If you’re planning to visit this region, spend a few nights here in luxurious peace, you won’t regret it.
