Cub Campers Pty Ltd will be announcing the winning of a Good Design Award for the C16 Off-road caravan in the Product Design category in recognition for outstanding design and innovation.

Cub Campers are delighted to announce the Australian Made C16 – the 5-star luxury caravan – has officially been recognised as a winner of the Good Design Award for Product Design in the Automotive and Transport Category for 2023. This award is one of the most prestigious awards for design in Australia and recognises outstanding design and innovation.

In September 2022, we announced the C16, our first luxury off-road caravan, into the Australian market. Backed by over 55 years of RV manufacturing experience and the Cub name, the C16 has quickly established itself as a standout in the Australian market.

The many challenges and roadblocks that faced the original team in moving into unchartered territory, as well as two years of intense research and development, has culminated in this moment.

This important award represents a massive tick of approval to the cutting-edge design of the C16 as well as the high quality that is necessary to receive a prestigious Good Design Award.

The Awards always attract the highest calibre of submissions representing a diverse spectrum of design with 11 specific design disciplines spanning 30 categories. An independent panel of experts in the design, architectural and engineering fields fastidiously evaluates every entry.

The Good Design Awards Jury commented: “The C16 takes caravanning to the next level — finding beautiful and efficient solutions to all the problems with existing options on the market.”

The winners of Australia’s peak international design awards were announced on Friday 8 September at the 2023 Australian Good Design Awards in front of more than 1000 guests from the design and architecture community. The original C16 design team, consisting of Shane Fagan, Amy Fagan, Sia Jafari and Aaron Sheen, being present for the moment the C16 took home this well-deserved accolade for the first time in Cub history.
