Country on Keppel Unveils Program
Great Keppel Island Hideaway goes country in less than two weeks and we are unveiling the weekend’s program.
From July 12 until July 14, Country on Keppel co-headliners Casey Barnes, Beccy Cole and many more top artists will have the island rocking with their distinct brands of country music.
Great Keppel Island Hideaway General Manager Kelly Harris said, for the fifth Country on Keppel, the festival offered all facets of country from traditional and contemporary to singer-songwriter and alt-country.
“We are excited about this year’s line-up and, with day tickets, as well as three-day packages, available, we can’t wait to welcome music lovers to the island,” he said.
Beccy Cole will headline Friday night at 7.30pm, after the Green Brothers Country on Keppel Peter Blundell Memorial Talent Search kicks off proceedings with five finalists performing from 3pm followed by Kate Mahood and Brad Butcher.
Country music station, Today’s Country 94One will broadcast live from the festival on the first official day, from 3pm-6pm with Friday Drive hosted by our MC duo Ronnie Tee and Jaque.
On Saturday, we welcome Casey Barnes as our headliner performing from 7.30pm, with the winner of the talent search opening the festival on Saturday morning, with Keely Ellen, Kate Mahood, Chloe Styler, Ashleigh Dallas, Lyn Bowtell, Danny Phegan and James Blundell taking the stage into the evening.
Local band, Coighty and the Kickstands will have patrons partying on into the night on Friday and Saturday.
Sunday has more of a laidback acoustic feel with James Blundell wrapping up the festival, following stripped back performances from Chloe Styler, Brad Butcher, Danny Phegan and Ashleigh Dallas.
