The line-up of legends that is the Apia Good Times Tour is set to return in the new decade for its 8th anniversary with eight (!) of our all-time favourite Oz music megastars heading from Bunbury (21 May) to Tweed Heads (20 June), with stops in Perth, Adelaide, Geelong, Melbourne, Bendigo, Launceston, Hobart, Thirroul, Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Toowoomba and Brisbane in between.

The 8th anniversary Apia Good Times Tour will be the biggest yet with performances from Brian Cadd, Deborah Conway, Joe Camilleri, John Paul Young, Kate Ceberano, Leo Sayer, Vika & Linda Bull and, making her Good Times debut, Ms. Wendy Matthews.

Tickets to this unique, once-in-a-lifetime tour go on sale at 10.00am (local times) on Monday, 17 February.

2020’s Apia Good Times line-up has a huge array of hits to draw from including Ginger Man, A Little Ray of Sunshine, Man Overboard, It’s Only The Beginning, Harley & Rose, Chained to the Wheel, I Hate the Music, Love Is In The Air, Bedroom Eyes, Pash, You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, Thunder In My Heart, Never Let Me Go, The Day You Went Away and Let’s Kiss to name a few.

Apia Good Times is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see some of Australia’s biggest music stars perform their most loved hits and share the stage and songs with one another on a rollicking rock-n-roll rollercoaster like no other!

Singer, songwriter, producer – Brian Cadd has done it all. Cadd kicked off his career with two of the most celebrated bands of their day, The Groop and Axiom, with hits Woman You’re Breaking Me and A Little Ray of Sunshine. He followed this with a string of massive hits as a solo artist with songs like Ginger Man, Let Go, Alvin Purple and the soundtrack to the classic Morning of the Earth surf movie, before moving into a ‘behind-the-scenes’ role in the music industry, going on to produce and work alongside music heavyweights from around the globe.

Brian has written songs for the likes of Joe Cocker, Ringo Starr, John Farnham, Little River Band, Bonnie Tyler, Glen Campbell and The Pointer Sisters and his iconic status was acknowledged when he was inducted into the 2007 Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame.

2019 saw the release of Brian’s Americana inspired album, Silver City, recorded in Nashville with legendary producer Mark Moffatt.  Silver City takes Brian’s musical history and consolidates it into a remarkable journey.

Deborah Conway has been a musician for 40 years, during these decades she has played a countless number of live shows from stadiums to lounge rooms; has recorded a lot of songs, some of which have raised eyebrows, some of which have been played on radio; and has produced records, shows, tours and festivals.

Conway met Willy Zygier in 1991 and together they have released 10 albums. Conway and Zygier together produced four iterations of the national concert series “Broad” the all-female singer/songwriter review 2005 – 2008, Conway took on the role of Artistic Director for the Queensland Music Festival 2009 – 2011 and in 2014 they established The Melbourne Shir Madness Jewish Music Festival as the Festival Director and Artistic Director presiding over 2 very successful iterations in 2015 and 2017.

There have been gongs along the way – in 2016 Conway & Zygier’s 1993 anthem Alive & Brilliant, was inducted into the National Film & Sound Archive; also in 2016 Conway was doubly named a Living Legend both by the Leaps & Bounds Festival and Rolling Stone Magazine, in 2019 Conway was made a National Living Legend at the National Live Music Awards & in 2020 Conway was awarded an appointment as a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia for significant services to the performing arts as a singer, songwriter and producer.

Rolling Stone Living Legend, Joe Camilleri, is a giant of the Australian music landscape. He has given his life to writing, performing and celebrating music. Writer of milestone Australian songs such as So Young, Hit & Run, Shape I’m In, Harley & Rose, Chained To The Wheel and Never Let Me Go and leader of two of Australia’s most successful bands, Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons and The Black Sorrows, Joe and his music have become part of Australian music culture. Joe was inducted along with other members of the Falcons into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.

In 1975 Joe formed Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons, a band who swung from R’n’B to reggae, power pop and ska. Over a period of 8 years The Falcons amassed enviable sales and radio airplay and ultimately epitomised the era. Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons toured the country relentlessly and became one of Australia’s finest live outfits. The band also toured the USA. In the early ‘80s Camilleri and friends started up a new band, The Black Sorrows. Originally a ‘just for the fun of it’ outfit, The Black Sorrows have released 20 albums over three decades and sold over two million albums world-wide. The Black Sorrows has always been an elastic band and over its life has been home to over 30 of Australia’s finest musical talents, including fellow Allstars, Vika & Linda Bull.

For Camilleri, it’s all about moving forward and to that end, The Black Sorrows released their 21st album (and Joe’s 49th!), Citizen John, in March 2019.

John Paul Young is undoubtedly one of the most popular Australian artists of the 70’s, with a string of hits, and over 4 million record sales, cementing him a place in Australia’s music history.

In the early 70’s when John was a sheet metalworker by day and singer by night, he was approached to record Pasadena, before joining the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar playing the role of Annas until 1974.  Then everything went just a little crazy and “JPY” was all over the airwaves with Yesterday’s Hero, The Love Game, I Hate the Music, Keep On Smilin’, I Wanna Do It With You, Where the Action Is, Standing In The Rain and, of course, Love Is In The Air.

With this success, John became a Countdown regular as both guest presenter, co-host and performer and his music became the soundtrack to the countdown generation, launching a career spanning more than 40 years.  Along with performing, John has had equal successes in Radio, Television and Theatre, including a Helpmann Award nomination for best supporting artist.  In 2009, John was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and in 2012, his 40th year in the industry, John was honoured with an Order of Australia for his services to charity and the music industry.

Multi ARIA Award winning artist, Kate Ceberano, has been in the business for over 35 years – writing and performing both jazz and pop music – with seven Platinum and seven Gold albums to her name.

Kate first came to prominence in the mid-80’s as a 15-year-old sensation fronting pop funk band, I’m Talking. Five consecutive hit singles and a Platinum debut album, Bear Witness, led to a swag of awards including Best New Talent at the 1984 Countdown Awards, followed up by Best Female Artist in the ’85 and ’86 Countdown Awards. After launching her solo career, Kate took out Best Female Artist at the ’88 and ’89 ARIA Awards with her triple Platinum album, Brave, nominated as ARIA Album of the Year.

Ceberano has barely drawn breath since, racking up 27 albums over 35 years to be the most prolific Australian female recording artist of this era. In 2014, Ceberano became the first (and only) Australian woman to be inducted into the Australian Songwriters’ Association (ASA) Hall of Fame and 2016 saw Kate on the Queen’s Birthday Honours’ List, becoming a member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the performing arts and charitable organisations.

Kate Ceberano is a bone fide national treasure, possessing one of the great voices of her generation and in 2019 received the ARIA Award for Jazz Album of the Year for her beautiful partnership with Paul Grabowsky on the Tryst album.

The perpetually effervescent, Grammy-award winning, international chart-topping British music legend Leo Sayer continues pack houses worldwide. Following the success of his sold-out UK tour, Leo is back in Australia for APIA in 2020.

Known the world over for his classic songs, which include Thunder In My Heart, More Than I Can Say, Moonlighting, The Show Must Go On, One Man Band, I Can’t Stop Loving You, Orchard Road and the transatlantic number one smash hits When I Need You and You Make Me Feel Like Dancing. Leo is excited to be back on tour in his adopted homeland once again.

In the more than four decades since he embarked on his illustrious music career, Leo Sayer has written songs for some of the most influential names in the business, including the likes of Tina Turner, Cliff Richard, Roger Daltrey, Dolly Parton, Three Dog Night, Gene Pitney and Jennifer Warnes and is revered world-wide for his songwriting and his live performances. APIA Good Times audiences can expect a stunning performance as the man described as ‘one of the greatest pop voices of our time’ selects his favourite songs from more than 20 international Top 10 singles and 5 global Top 10 albums.

Leo became an Australian citizen in 2009 and hasn’t looked back since. He is working just as solidly in his music career now as when he started and his music is reaching new audiences. In 2007 his classic hit Thunder In My Heart got a dance re-make, which went #1 throughout England and Europe. The age range of audiences at a Leo Sayer show is massive – his music appeals to young and old and his shows are energy packed from the beginning. His charismatic persona endears audiences immediately and he always has the audience on their feet.

For 30 years, the glorious voices of Vika & Linda Bull have comprised one of the most distinctive, versatile and emotionally charged sounds on the Australian music landscape. Since their multi-platinum conquest of pop radio with The Black Sorrows in the late 1980s, the sisters have forged diverse pathways into soul, gospel, rock, country and the island music of their Tongan ancestry.

Vika & Linda’s rich solo vocals and instinctive harmonies have spawned eight albums of their own, as well as illuminating studio and concert performances by Paul Kelly, RocKwiz, C.W. Stoneking, Deborah Conway, Kasey Chambers and many more.

In November 2019 Vika & Linda took their place in the Music Victoria Hall of Fame, joining other Victorian music superstars like Olivia Newton-John, Chrissy Amphlett, Renée Geyer, Paul Kelly, ACDC and John Farnham.

As an artist, Wendy Matthews has an expressive voice that never fails to move those who hear it. Her music is an unhurried journey of clean melodies, infectious energy and simple grace. This is exemplified by the reality that Wendy’s music is now in more than 1 million homes in Australia and all her albums to date have multi-platinum status.

Wendy has an immense talent and capacity to capture and define a diverse range of styles in her music. She takes songs from every genre and makes them her own; from jazz to blues, from rock to gospel, from soul to outright infectious pop and then, of course, there are the beautiful ballads.

In 1987, Wendy collaborated with Kate Ceberano on the ABC-TV soundtrack for the series Stringer. You’ve Always Got the Blues was released the next year reaching the Top 5 national charts. She helped form Absent Friends and sang on the number one hit I Don’t Want To Be With Nobody But You and the album Here’s Looking Up Your Address.

The album Émigré (Double Platinum) spawned the hits Token Angels, Lets Kiss and Woman’s Gotta Have It and earned Wendy the Best Female Artist and Best Debut Single (for Token Angels) at the 1990 ARIA Awards. Wendy was also voted Best Female Singer in the 1990 Rolling Stone Reader’s Poll which was followed up by the multi-Platinum album Lily with the mega hit The Day You Went Away, and If Only I Could and Friday’s Child. In 1992 Wendy picked up the ARIA for Best Female Artist and Best Single and again in 1993 Best Female Artist. The Day You Went Away was the ‘Highest Selling Single’ of 1993 and the ‘Single of the Year’.
