𝗟ocal Mum Follows ‘True North’ With Opening Of New Business

For local mum Jess Herring, the start of an exciting new chapter has begun as she recently opened her new business True North RV on Mount Gambier’s Margaret Street.
Born and bred in Mount Gambier, Jess says she’s excited to bring the Malibu range of caravans to the Limestone Coast. It is clear to see after speaking with Jess, her passion for caravans and the outdoors is clear.
After some time researching different brands, Jess said choosing Malibu was easy as they’re manufactured in Australia, and suited to Australian conditions.
As a single mum, Jess said she wants True North RV to give her children an insight into runing your own business, while also showing them the importance of putting in the work and following your dreams.
“I want to show my kids that if you work hard and are passionate about something, you can really make things happen. If it sparks something in you, then follow that dream and give it your best shot.” Jess said.
Jess elaborated on this when speaking about the name she chose for her business.
“The business name is very meaningful to me. To follow your ‘True North’ is to be your authentic self, a combination of your values, your beliefs, and your purpose. Your own moral compass. True North is also your calling, and what you want to accomplish in your life.” Jess said.
“The name also happens to be one of my goals, to road test my vans up north during the colder months, along with my 2 kids and our dog. Hopefully we will take a few orders along the way!”
Keeping things local, True North RV has also teamed up with Darren at DP Marine & Caravan Repairs in Millicent to offer services and installation of optional extras.
True North is Now Open, with regular opening hours 9am-1pm Saturdays and 10am-1pm Sundays, or by appointment. Jess looks forward to meeting you, and offering you personalised and friendly service to the Limestone Coast Region on the Vic/SA Border in Mount Gambier.
