Announcing the Charity, for our Convoy for Charity!

Its that time of year again, The What’s Up Downunder Summer Series Best of the Best Convoy for Charity is about to embark on its next big adventure.

This year we are raising money for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. Brain cancer survival rates haven’t improved in more than 30 years, and CBCF funds world-class research, advocacy and awareness to help find a cure for this awful disease.

CBCF has a mission, and it’s is a bold one: To increase five-year survival to 50% by 2023.

CBCF recognise that to solve a complex problem like brain cancer they need to do things differently; to think laterally and find smarter solutions that allow them to make breakthroughs much faster than traditional research methods allow.

CBCF leverage discoveries made in areas that share common problems: other cancers, neuroscience, genomics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, immunology and nanotechnology.

Th CBCF research strategy is designed to get new treatments to patients faster by funding across the entire research pathway and ensuring every person diagnosed with brain cancer in Australia has access to a quality clinical trial.

Everyone at What’s Up Downunder is excited to be supporting such a worthy charity.
