The Camels are back at Tara

Once every two years, cameleers of the Australian racing circuit descend on the tiny town of Tara in Queensland’s Western Downs, where an authentic country camel race meet is delivered with a surprising multicultural twist.

From 2nd through to 4th of August you can experience professional camel races, surrounded by an extravaganza of multicultural stage shows, cultural foods and live music, all within just two hours of Toowoomba and thee and a half from Brisbane! Festival President Linda Petersen told Whats up Downunder that it is almost unreal the variety of what all visitors will experience all in one spot.

You can find out more information about the Tara Festival on their website or find them on Facebook.
