Key Klever
Janet posted: Caravan hack: Patience is wearing thin with all these keys for the van. Came up with the idea to colour dot code them.
Wicked Wild Weather
Carol posted: A bit of excitement here at Nanango Q with a wild storm going through. We weren’t the only ones to lose our awning even with anti flaps on and tied down.
Good to see the van came through with flying colours, that’s a lot of hail on the mat. Alison

Bar None!
Coralee posted to find out if the depth of the shelves in the pantry just left of the rear door is the same on other models.
Michelle hit the nail on the head when she said that the rail is a great idea. And it is. Alison

The Carafan has replaced the extractor fan over the toilet and is a dust reduction pressurising fan. The OGO is an electrical composting toilet. Alison

Imperfectly Silent!
Barry posted: For the life of me I can’t get this radio to work. It has power, aerial and the correct input. And the speakers work. It has operated on occasions however it doesn’t want to play now. Any worthwhile comments would be appreciated.
Silent Radios seem to be a problem across many brands. I wonder why?? Alison

Oh, I see!!
Monica posted: Well, we just had our van windows cleaned by 20 Twenty Headlight Restoration. WOW WOW WOW. They are like brand new. Photos don’t do them justice. We had quite a few scratches and some deep ones. Not one mark on them now. Great service and glad we did all the windows on the van. Phil also did our car headlights and again no more cloudy lights. Cannot recommend him enough. Brilliant. He is based on the Sunshine Coast.
The Top Table
Edward posted: One of the best things I installed (mod) in our SRC19 van is the Nouva Mapa adjustable table, You really dont know how useful and helpful this table is until you have one in your van, perfect for the L shape lounge table as the pictures show how versatile this table is.
Katherine’s Camera Never Lies.
What you see on Instagram -Stunning beach views, watching my beautiful children play out my gorgeous home on wheels kitchen window Vs. what’s actually going on! Slaving away washing a mountain of dishes. Watching my kids fight out my kitchen window and smashing my head on the above head cupboards at 3 minute intervals. Also, having a second coffee and it’s only 8am.
Follow the Flow
Judi posted: Hi all. Should the indicator be in this position in the ensuite under the vanity? Manta Ray.
Shane replied: An easy indicator to remember for isolation valves I was taught in my apprenticeship. When installing make sure the handle faces the direction of flow once opened. That’s with lever type valves.
Bunda No More
John posted: A friend sent me this from another site! About camping on Bunda Cliffs is NO longer be an option? Has anyone seen or heard 1st hand info?? Ps I know there are some caravaners out there that were parking far too close without checking 1st.
Stepping up.
Doug posted: Good morning Sunland owners, you may want to stabilise your van steps like I did. Buy a Camec aluminium caravan stabiliser kit, No. 039377, for $60 for a set of 4 from Supercheap Auto & cut 2 down by 50mm, make new bottoms for them out of aluminium angle, cut the sides off of the top circle. Fit them under the steps in the slot underneath & now your done. A good job for all you handymen out there. You may not want to lower them like I did, but now I can alter the height a lot more, depending where we park. Took me about 2 hrs for each one.

You want WHAT?
Lindsay posted: We wanted snow, and we got it. Nice and warm though inside our Aussiemate.
Two Screws Tight
Martin posted: Anyone travelling across on the Nullabour Plains to or from WA to SA be warned you may lose your fridge external grills to the Road Trains wind gushes as you pass them. I did and I can see how easy it would be on certain windy days. Lucky for me the Caravan Place at Esperance had replacements. They recommended using two screws on the bracket going through the Removable Grills. All done now.
Just a little bubble!
Louise posted: Had a little tyre incident yesterday. Lucky the observant people behind us let us know. Also convenient that we were going through Nowra and were able to purchase some new tyres.

A Tad Fatigued!
Daryl posted: You can never over do checking and rechecking things in relation to safety around a caravan. Just keep your eye on your tubeless valve stems they can develop fatigue cracks over time. They look ok until you bend them to the side a bit.
Tomorrow I’m getting four new ones fitted.

Pooped off!
Shelly posted: This made me laugh. We camping for the two weeks of the school holidays, the two grandkids and our son Chris are with us at the moment. So our 40 yo sons asks his dad if we have a spare towel for him. I tell him there’s a spare orange towel that he can give Chris. I cracked up when he comes back from the shower block after having used Harrison’s “poopy head towel”……I’ve been telling Dave for some time now he doesn’t seem to be able to differentiate between colours . The poo towel is very much brown! Chris was happy “it’s ok mum….I was soooo happy no one else had a towel like mine…”
It is a laughing matter!
Karin posted: The Big Kookaburra is found in Kurri Kurri, a small town in the Hunter Region of New South Wales. The 4.5-metre tall sculpture was erected at the Rotary Park in 2009 as a gift from the Hydro Aluminium smelter company to the locals to mark the company’s 40th anniversary.

One of these things is not like the others…
Please do not park caravans in truck rest stops. Pre-plan your journey and find a designated stop or caravan park to use. Truck stops are essential for truck drivers to manage their fatigue, take a break and get some rest
