Pally Pigs
Pete posted: For any Urbanites travelling the Kidman way. These young wild Pigs have become quite an attraction in the truck parking area directly opposite the Royal Mail Hotel.
If you pull over, the Pigs come out of the scrub to see if you have any scraps.
It’s quite amusing. Goolgowi NSW

Two Pins not three!
Tony posted: One of the pins that holds the cover to my 15-amp inlet has broken off. Does anyone know if you can just replace the bit with 4 screws and where can I get parts?

Anode Exposed
John posted: I changed the anode yesterday. That’s 12 months wear. I generally get the dealer to do it. I was amazed at how much junk came out when I flushed the tank. I will do it myself from now on. So moral of the story is FLUSH the tank before fitting a new one. It must clog the filter up when left in

Sheryl posted: A great birthday cake to celebrate husband’s milestone anniversary!
Fridge Fix
David posted: Found a fix for the shelves in the Thetford Compressor fridge using 4mm tubing on the right-hand side of the shelf that fits into the groove. Travelled from St George to Roma and shelves still attached. Got sick and tired of emptying the fridge to re-attach the shelves after ever leg of the trip.
Push One or All?
Gabrielle posted: We have lost our toilet flush, hot water and water pump. The little sign inside the cupboard says these are all on number 4 on the panel. Does anyone know what we are supposed to do? I did push it a couple of times. Does it unscrew? EDIT: gosh I love this group pushed all the buttons and it’s working!! Thanks heaps
Guru’s needed.
Matthew’s problem: Van’s been covered for about a month. AGM Batteries flat. Have plugged in, now in full sun but nothing is working. Have tried reset button, disconnecting and connecting back up solar panel and batteries. BMPro flashing red twice.
Screen reads – AC connected. Battery low. Battery off.
Answer from dead flat you need to put a battery charger on for initial charge.
Drying Time
Alesha posted: A little weird sharing our underwear on here but it’s too good not to share!
$10ish retractable clothes line off eBay, diesel heater on for the night and by the morning whilst driving to your next destination in the sun – dry.
Just Tinkering!
Tim discussed: Some of the water pipes on my van seem a little exposed to stone damage to me ..so here is a simple guard I knocked up with a piece of scrap aluminium angle and some rubber offcuts I had in the garage.

Recovery Essentials
Ben asked: Hi all, wanting to mount a set of recovery tracks on our Terra Sportz 16.6, where are you mounting yours? (Answers were on rear tyre, and in car in case car is bogged without van)
Stationary roller door
Bevan commented: For the last 4-5 years La Vista Caravans has been installing this simple device onto your ensuite door. If your van hasn’t had one fitted I recommend that you do so to avoid the door rollers coming lose from the constant vibration. This fixes your roller door problems.
Admin Bruce likes to take his puppy dogs with him on trips. Here they are eating their all time favourite honey roasted macadamias.
