Caravan Industry Victoria’s 2024 Victorian Caravan & Camping Supershow – Delivers with over $130 million of products to display

Not only is this the largest caravan and camping show in Australia but this industry contributes an economic impact of $27.1 billion to the Australian economy across manufacturing, trade, retail, rentals, and caravan parks as well as visitor expenditure as reported by Tourism Research Australia, yearend September 2023.

And what a way for this important Australian industry to kick start the year! With over 43,500 outdoor enthusiasts attending the five-day, Victorian Caravan & Camping Supershow. Visitors were not disappointed as the show was 30% larger than 2023 and included a new feature zone, the Off Grid Campground, that showcased the future of caravanning with the latest technology to go off grid and industry experts on site to share handy ‘hints’ and ‘tips’ to make that next off grid adventure a safe one.

Daniel Sahlberg, CEO, Caravan Industry Victoria expressed, “It was important this year to ensure the show continued to be innovative and engaging for visitors, and we delivered with over 230 exhibitors showcasing the buoyancy and diversity of the industry.”

“We had 1,100 caravans and RVs on display, some seen here for the first time, along with over 50,000 parts and accessories for visitors to explore and pick up a show bargain. And our specialised zones; the RV Master Stage, Adventure Zone, Kids Zone, and Off Grid Campground all proved to be crowd favourites, captivating, and education people of all ages. These zones are a credit to the industry experts and celebrities that present along with the exhibitors.”

Daniel further highlighted the significant diversity at this show with a snapshot of exhibitors on display: 72 caravan manufacturers; 17 motorhome manufacturers; 26 tent and camper trailer manufacturers; 6 slides and 5th wheelers; 98 caravan and camping accessory retailers; 15 RV industry services; 23 4X4, cars and boat retailers; and 26 tourism and destination represented to plan that next trip.

The Victorian Caravan & Camping Supershow continues to grow and exceed visitors’ expectations as noted in our consumer feedback – a consumer survey is completed annually during and after the show to ensure that the show remains relevant, engaging, innovative and most importantly enjoyable for all those attending. Even our littlest outdoor adventurers are considered and this year they had the opportunity to meet, Bluey and her little sister Bingo, during scheduled appearances on the Saturday along with mini golf and lots of activities.

With an 11.6% manufacturing growth in 2023, increased show attendance, 15.5 million caravan and camping trips per year with 60.9 million nights – this industry and show is only getting stronger, and it all starts here, than go anywhere!
