At the Victorian Supershow, roving reporter Macca took a little time out to catch up with owner and manufacturer Billy Deralas to celebrate a major milestone: Royal Flair’s 50th Year!

Carrying on his father’s legacy, alongside two of his siblings, Billy grew up around caravans, reflecting on the monumental changes occurring regarding comforts and capabilities:

“[back in the day] a caravan sitting there would had only got one 240 light in there and about five, six [12V] lights in the van. When you wired a caravan maybe it took you about an hour and a half two hours … now it takes us just a day just to wire a car and it takes you another 2 days to complete the Caravan!

“It’s completely changed it’s so innovative now.”
