JB Caravans launch new factory in Campbellfield

JB Caravan’s owner Alex Bi and staff were recently joined by Caravan Trade & Industry Association Victoria (CIA VIC) CEO Rob Lucas, Mayor of Hume City Council Geoff Porter and MP for Broadmeadows Frank McGuire, to cut the ribbon on their new factory in Campbellfield, Victoria.

JB Caravans were excited and thankful to be able to share this opening with team members, suppliers and special guests. Owner Alex Bi said, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers… our association and all the suppliers.”

One of these guests at the opening was CEO of CIA VIC Rob Lucas who praised the new facility and the opportunities it provides within the industry, “7 years of planning has come together now in a fantastic new facility and the opportunity to grow in line with what’s actually happening in the industry is absolutely fantastic.”

“Alex and Sharon have invested heavily in this new facility and of course it’s building towards the future because that future now shows that 28% growth of employment from 2011 to now, and we don’t see it stopping.”

MP for Broadmeadows Frank McGuire also acknowledged the benefits this new facility provides for the Victorian economy, “we have $2 billion spent in this industry in Australia, 90% of the caravans are built in Victoria, and what we’re doing right here in Broadmeadows is the Victorian Government is helping with an investment so that they can expand here and will be creating 55 new jobs”

Mayor of Hume City Council Geoff Porter commended Alex and Sharon for their initiative and vision “it’s very exciting to be here with all the employees, and this is a great opportunity for people in our area to get jobs and to be a part of a really quality product.”
