Service with a Smile

Kevin was on the road, when the remotes for his Teko airbag system failed. GAC Warranty connected Kevin and Teko who express posted the parts, which arrived in 3 days and then guided Kevin by phone on the installation. That’s fantastic service.

Amps question.

David said it was the first time he used his Honda 2.2 generator. The panel showed next to no amps going in. Was that right? Warren said check menu, see what AC charging is set to, and what other appliances are on. Charging Amps taper off if battery is over 90%

Why are my posts BLACK

Graham was looking for info on a Highclere, but all the posts were black. Solution was to go into FB, turn Dark Mode off and then open FB again. (P.S. I saw this same problem on another Owners Group. Alison)

Dave parked up and found this near his car. But what is it? Answer from Michael is that it’s a Bearing Grease Cover and recommends that Dave check all the hubs on his car and van.

Help on the Road

Grant had a problem: Hey happy travellers! They were heading up to the Cape and broke the 300 amp mega fuse to the inverter. How to fix it in isolation? A great suggestion was to get onto any of Cape York Fb page. Someone on there might be able to help.

6 year old tyres

Ron posted that he has the original tyres on my 2018 van. He was thinking it was time for new ones when one tyre told him YES, time for new ones. Two things saved them, a truck driver noticing and the tyre monitor alarm. Four new tyres tomorrow. Maybe 6 years was a bit too long!

Dirt and Water don’t mix

Gavin has a problem, when his water tanks are full and he turns the pump on, water pours out the inlet pipe. Answer, pull the valve off, clean the dirt out that gets in there, put it back and when it’s clean this will stop.

Important Words of Wisdom

When you are buying a second hand van (any make, any age) remember to make sure the manuals for all the equipment is there. Imagine just standing and looking at everything and wondering how it works! Luckily this owner is part of an owners group and got so much help.

Be Quiet Light!

Dan’s problem is that the light ‘howls’ when he travels at over 50kph. Favourite solution was to angle it down.

Larry wanted to clean his van and thanks to JB he did just that. Brush has a rotating head and he used a salt car wash.

Key issue

Colin has joined many caravanners over heaps of brands. He needs a new door key cut and can’t find anyone to do it. Tried locksmith, Mr Minit and Bunnings. This is not a problem for just one brand. Solution – try manufacturer first, and hope that works.
