Perspexfully Perfect!

Spin 14: Just sharing this great product that someone on a Caravan forum recommended for cleaning the Hi gloss cupboards and perspex windows in your caravan. Our van is 10 years old so no High Gloss but WOW did it ever work on the  – VuPlex available from Bunnings in the Blinds aisle 👍

Steep Step Solution

Alasdair posted: We experienced a issues with the folding step, one being when you step out, the drop is 40mm from the internal van step to the fold out step which can cause a problem. I am posting an easy solution that helps solve the problem making the steps equal drop.

Gas Cylinder diet

Spiro posted: I ran out of gas and thought I could replace it with a swap and go gas bottle. Turns out the swap and go bottles are smaller and don’t fit in properly. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what have you done to rectify it.

Solution was to pack out the gap for now, but go back to refilling your own cylinders from suppliers such as BCF, Bunnings etc.

We won’t be able to get to it for a while yet to check if any damage. Our hearts go out to all the people who have lost so much.

Signed Sealed and Delivered

Admin John shared a post from Old Wharf Café Pooncarie

WHOO HOO. The Wentworth Shire section of the road between Menindee and Pooncarie was completed today. This will make an incredible difference to two small settlements on the Lower Darling Baaka. Saying “Thank you” to all those involved is probably understating the excitement and relief that people who travel that road, for work or for play, and for the businesses at both ends feel.

4 Seasons Stuck

Bevan posted: One of the vents in our 4 seasons hatch has been ‘sticky’ since new so after some Google research found that the main movement spring in each individual vent can be kinked and this will restrict movement.  It’s actually a simple fix and some clever rooster has come up with the solution of jamming 3mm weed eater cord up the entire spring which not only fixes the offending Spring it will rectify this problem happening to the others if installed prior. Apparently this is a common fault as I’ve found out with other owners.

Convict Memories

Alison posted: Wallabadah NSW has a very special memorial. It’s to the First Fleet in 1787 and remembers everyone who was on those ships. We spent a night in the camp grounds by the Memorial. Great spot, lots of level places and an amenities block at the Memorial.

Just Because Photo

Alana got Covid just before they were going away on a short trip in their Jayco Silverline. So, where else would you isolate than in your van, in the back yard. The added bonus was that a 1000 piece jigsaw fits on the table. Way to go.
