CIV rallies behind industry, answering questions and compiling resources

This week, the Caravan Industry of Victoria (CIV) rallied behind Victoria’s caravan industry amid the Victorian Government’s tightening COVID-19 restrictions.

And to members affected by Stage 3 and Stage 4 directives, the CIV had a clear message: “You are not alone”.

CIV president Michael Peebles expressed the sentiment Tuesday morning to members in a zoom meet, publicly available here.

During the conference, CIV representatives pledged to remain accessible during the temporary lockdown, urging members to phone in with questions if they needed help.

A RESILIENT INDUSTRY

CIV president Michael Peebles thanked his team for their support.

Michael described the industry’s camaraderie as a unique strength, urging members to seek out support.

“We have got the strength to do it,” said Michael.

“Our industry has a 66 year history of being able to adapt and show resilience through hard times,” he said.

IRONING OUT THE DETAILS

Prior to the meet, CIV liaised with Victorian Government Departments on how Stage 3 and Stage 4 directives will impact sectors within the industry.

CIV CEO Rob Lucas shared with members facts CIV could confirm, news awaiting written confirmation and details not yet clarified.

The team discussed the tools available for and obligations relating to work permits and COVID-19 safety plans. They then fielded questions relating to warehousing, travel and more.

SUPPORT PAGES

To assist caravan industry members ride the Stage 3 and 4 directives, CIV compiled resources.

Some pages are within the member portal with other resources openly available to the industry as a whole.
