HIGHWAY TO THE DANGERZONE

Patrick Dangerfield, one of Australia’s most popular AFL sporting personalities, has hit the road with his family to explore the best of the Great Ocean Road in Victoria.

Mobile Living focuses purely on the RV lifestyle, disconnecting from the loud noises of every day life and reconnecting as a family.

The trip is part of a new television show developed by Dometic Australia and produced by Cameron Damon Media in association with the Caravan Industry Association of Australia.

Head of Marketing at Dometic, Justine Schuller said, “We developed the show as we are deeply passionate about mobile living and committed to supporting the entire Australian RV Industry.”

“This project is specifically intended to assist with growth of the industry by appealing to a broad audience and encourage them to get involved in the RV lifestyle. We believe that all members of the industry should be working together to support overall growth and ensure sustainability into the future.” continues Justine

This is a great achievement for all involved and an exciting opportunity.” said Grant Manson, National Sales Director of production company Cameron Damon Media.

“To be able to present a genuine superstar and his family, non-scripted, gave us an amazing insight into his life, and it was an absolute privilege. continues Grant.

Dometic, in conjunction with the Caravan Industry Association of Australia, wanted to create a show that would remind viewers of the benefits of the touring lifestyle.

Stuart Lamont, CEO of Caravan Industry Association of Australia said, “Caravanning and camping provides the perfect avenue by which Australians can get away and reconnect with their family and friends, while refreshing the batteries from the ever demanding day-to-day life. To be able to capture Patrick as a person and his family spending time together, as well as integrating the many adventure activities which Patrick enjoys doing, showcases perfectly the great times that can be had while caravanning.”

This format has proven particularly appealing to Seven, with Mobile Living allocated the highly sought-after 5:30pm Saturday time slot, leading into the Saturday news.

Jason Volbeda, Programming and Communications Manager of Seven Melbourne, said it was a “privilege” to have Patrick Dangerfield and his family on board.

“When you add a host who happens to be an AFL superstar, accompanied by his wife, Mardi, and son, George, then you tick every family-friendly box on the checklist.” says Jason.
