Gulgong NSW – The Ten Dollar Town

There are plenty of reasons to visit the wonderful town of Gulgong in the Mudgee wine region of NSW. Founded during the gold rush era in the late 1800s, Gulgong has become known as The Ten Dollar Town because it appeared on the first $10 note in Australia, it was also the childhood home of Australian writer and bush poet Henry Lawson.
